Review:

Update: I'm a mechanical engineer, so I took the base containing the electronics off of the boiling chamber and found that the bimetallic switch affixed to the hot plate containing the cal rod was a bit loose. The switch is simply staked in place and apparently the aluminum stakes were giving way after repeated thermal cycles. I restaked the switch and it looks like I'm back in business. This is just poor design practice and I'm sure many others have had this same problem and have shelled out big bucks for another boiling chamber. What's next I'm asking myself? I am not impressed with the design of this device.

On another issue, I got tired of paying $6 for a carbon filter replacement so I made my own stainless steel container and purchased a bag of coconut shell carbon. This is supposed to remove the VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the superheated steam. Now I pay pennies for a filter replacement.
